The Sexta Hora restaurant in Sesto - Val Pusteria is small and familial, expertly fusing the traditional with the modern… constantly coming up with new interpretations, yet always with attention to detail and love for South Tyrol. With love for our home. Our chef, Giuseppe Candela and the entire kitchen staff know their craft well. They know exactly what our guests value when it comes to cuisine. The four elements – earth, fire, wind and water – as well as the river and the mountains are the key characteristics of every one of our dishes. Individual notes emphasise the main features, just like our Dolomites do… in the middle of a mountain valley with that Mediterranean flair.

If you look at our distinctive logo, you’ll soon be able to guess its meaning. The name Sexta Hora refers to the way the ancient Romans calculated time, with the day beginning at each sunrise. According to this, their sixth hour was what we call the twelfth today… so, Sexta Hora means ‘noon’. The Croda dei Toni, part of the Sesto sundial, is always in view, showing us what time it is as the sun’s rays stream over it.
